Omnia Vanitas (All Is Vanity) High Fashion Meets Street Art

Omnia Vanitas took place on October 23 2015 in the beautiful Art District of Downtown Phoenix. This runway show was definitely a colorful array of Dia De Los Muertos inspired art in motion. Almost every model was painted in every themes from the musical Wicked, Broken Dolls, Music and Traditional Dia De Los Muertos inspired looks as they slayed a stone runway. I had the privilege of being on the MUA team for Lana May featuring Galina Couture along side Brandy Wise of BWise Body Art and Moni Luvs Effects. Brandy was darling enough to teach me body painting 101 and let me use her supplies on the Broken Doll look. Huge thank you to Brandy and Moni for letting me use their paints on my models!! You know I bought a ton of body painting supplies for Easley’s Fun Shop the next week! Did I mention our hair team? Zack Munds of ZM Studios and Jenny Alton styled hair that not only showed the delicate details of the jewelry but also worked with the delicate nature of the jewels making sure no hair snags happened and no jewelry was damaged. Not only were we rocking to music letting our artistic love flow we were also lucky enough to have photographer Amanda Aponte, Owner and Head Editor of FISIQUE Magazine, shoot every single one of our models for publishing in various magazines! Once again Purrversia Riot of Purrvection Productions took on multiple roles by being our Lana May Runway Coordinator and planning the photo shoots. This experience was wonderful and started my career in body painting.
